Hello from Canada!

Mystique is getting big now. I put pictures up of her when she was younger a couple years ago. I will add some more to the F4 picture forum.

Yes we do end up belonging to a Savannah Herd Club. That's the only problem...once you get one. You. Know it multiplies, because you want another. lol

I'm Hamilton area. Zeddie is from Exotic Tails and I can't say enough good things about Christine. She is really great, and Zeddie is more than I ever could imagine.

I went to the Pet Expo on Saturday! It was so awesome! Not only were there tons of kittens to meet, but all sorts of other animals. I got to pet a kangaroo, and hold a tarantula (which I never thought I would do in a million years).

I enjoyed sitting down and watching a few of the cats being judged, though I was there with my family so I didn't stay there too long. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the one thing I looked forward to the most... the cat breeders. (Please don't throw boots at me for saying this!)

I just felt... really not welcome while I went through the cat booths. I tried several times to engage in conversation with different breeders, but they very obviously chose to ignore me. By the time I got to the breeder I'm looking at for my Savannah, I was super discouraged. I was awkward and I didn't end up saying anything much more than "Hey I'm so and so." Gah. I envisioned saying so much more, I really wanted to connect, y'know? To get the feeling "Yes! I knew I liked this cattery for a reason!"

I don't know if it might have been because I had different breeders to compare the experience to. The dog breeders were happy to hand over their dogs so you could love on them, at various reptile booths they were glad to answer all my absurd questions and let me hold all the crazy delicate animals, and so on.

Again, I don't want to offend anyone by saying this, I just want to share my experience! I'm hoping there will be another show coming up, so that this isn't my only experience.

Anyways. At the end of day, my mom fulfilled a lifelong dream and we got a baby chameleon! He is the cutest!

I was at the expo this weekend as well. I think the breeders get overwhelmed with the people. I know when I was there Friday it was crazy busy and I didn't have a chance to talk to Christine as she was swamped. On Sunday it was a lot better and we were able to chat for a bit. I can't speak for any of the other breeds as I didn't wander that area too much.

How exciting that you brought home a chameleon!
