Huge Dilemma... :(

I had two cats that didn't get along so well. No bloodshed, but you could tell that one resented the other. I stuck them in a bathroom with a litterbox and a blanket and made them live in close corners for a few days...worked wonders.

Alisha, rather than scruffing Solo in a fracas that might involve you getting bit...keep a heavy blanket or large throw rug handy to throw over top of him. Cover him completely, and leave it on him. It should calm him down almost immediately, and you won't get bitten. I had to do that with one of my (spayed) girls that was acting out because of my neighbor's cat lurking around outside...she was attacking everyone in sight. I ended up confining her to a room by herself for a month. She calmed down, rejoined the bunch, and all is peaceful here again. My neighbor is now keeping her cat indoors :)

I do have to say when I got Keeba it got a lot better! even tho chloe and pergie do get into it once in a while, Keeba has brought some peace. Keeba and Pergie are always together and I think thats what Pegie wanted with Chloe, a Buddie. Chloe is a loner and was having no part of that, although she will let Keeba come sleep by her once in a while and she does like Keeba! she will engage in play with him and he will chase her and she will hiss the whole chase, really chloe.... We just laught at her and Keeba will stop and look like WHAT you started it. I just think Chloe doesnt like Pergie and Pergie got sick of her crap and started lashing out. We have had blood shed, but I really started working with them after that too calm things down. they will never like each other, but I know they can coexist together.

MK I have thought about that... Kronos loves other animals so much that a 3rd cat would make him happy and leave Solo alone. But I am way too afraid to get another cat at this point because I would hate if it made things worse.

I was too! scared to death! But something about Keeba felt right and I could see Pergie was not the loner type. I thought long a hard and bite me fear and did it. Funny I let Chloe out see him after the 2week period and she was fine, she was like okay, whatever. It took me 6-8weeks to get Pergie to calm down WTH!!! LOL! But I think it is because he's deaf and very sensitive. I finally just put him in a harness and leash and let Keeba come jump on him like a bunny would. He was startled at first but about an hour later they were curled up on the couch, it been that way since.

I know what you are feeling about that and I would talk with Marilyn before you do anything.

There have been episodes dealing with this on "My Cat From Hell". Most of the time a slow reintroduction works. Like you the people were locking the bullied cat in their bedroom. But this is actually a prime space since it is where your scent is strongest. So the dominate cate feels put out, dethroned if you will. After some adjustments and slow reintroduciton and letting the dominate cat be dominate in non-threatening ways (like letting the donimate cat see she got to eat first), the cats establish an heiracrhy that worked.
