Introducing Holly

Sounds like it's been a super stressful trip home-- they were supposed to leave out around 7ish (I think?) last night and just got on a plane this morning. So poor Sue and Holly and family! I hope they can get home and spend the rest of the weekend relaxing!

That is so much a bummer. But hopefully they will be home soon and the bonding can continue unabated. :)

Oh, I'm pretty sure by the time they get home-- they'll be as bonded as humanly (kittenly?) possible. LOL. That's a lot of time together at the airport. Well, hopefully they were put up in a room.

. Well, hopefully they were put up in a room.
From what she told me, it was a dump. She said Flamingo? I thought it was torn down. Anyway... Holly was just fine in the carrier, but that was earlier this morning.
If things go as planned..... (yeah, right.).. They should hit FLL around 6pm and then they have to drive back across alligator alley.

I cannot imagine the stress. Oh wait-- yes, this week has been one giant headache. The only bright spot was Sue and Holly <3

Hmm, thinking as long as I had my new fur baby, everything else would be trivial. Better stranded with Holly, than waiting at the other end for her delayed arrival.

Yeah major bonding time fur sure.!!!!!

We got home At 8:30 pm. Wonderful Jet Blue gave our plane away to the people at the gate next to us going to New York. First they told us we would get the next plane in. Then they cancelled our flight. They had 2 people trying to reschedule a plane load of people. Lines were very long, moved very slow. They told people to call Jet Blue while waiting, we called 3 times and got nowhere. They don't compensate. For a mechanical issue. Out plane was not the plane having the mechanical issue. I feel sorry for the people who were trying to go on a cruise today. If we had stuck with Jet Blue's solution, fly to San Fransisco, then to Ft. Lauderdale, I would still be on a plane until midnight and then wouldbe facing a 2.5 hour drive across Alligator Alley. Holly made a lot of friends on the plane, when she started crying because she was hungry. I opened the carrier to give her more food and she insisted on poking her head out. She slept in my lap on the drive home. She does not like the golden retriever that we are watching for our son until Monday. I hope that the 4 unaccompanied minors that we met last night, got to Lauderdale in time to get picked up by their relatives for a cruise today. My daughter ripped into a Jet Blue employee, that they had better take care of the minors that had no adult with them and get them to Lauderdale before the boat sailed, since it was almost Midnight and they were in tears and clueless as to what to do. She told the guy that these minors were his responsibility and to take care of them before taking care of the adults. We got less than 3 hours of sleep last night, rebooked ourselves on SouthWest, and began t conversation with Jet Blue regarding compensation and a refund. If I am rambling, it is because I am dead tired and going to bed. Photos will come tomorrow. Holly has used the litter box. Yeah! Goodnight everyone.

You guys were so prepared and ready to go. Makes me so mad for your sake!

I'm so glad holly was a charmer :) kissy was unsure last night, but is starting to play with Una and saber. As far as the puppy, given time-- holly may warm up. Our kitties tend to play with the dogs once they settle in with them.
