I have been looking for a savannah myself and I read an article on A1 savannahs that they had some issues with kittens and health. I cant say whether that is true or not. Have you contacted them and what are they saying because this doesnt like its an issue that just started in the past couple of months. Im going to try an find that article and post it if thats ok with the admins. Just in case you want to read it. First and most important is that Bijou is taken care of, and shes so lucky to have you. I feel your pain and its sad as they are helpless. What is the next move as far as her health goes on what to do next?
No, we do not need any articles posted here about any breeder... Thanks

Hoping for the most benign diagnosis and outcome!
Well there is nothing in the report at this point in time that isn't potentially treatable. A mast cell tumor can be benign and treated, even heart failure if treated can be controlled and kept at bay. It' very reasonable to home for a positive outcome, but obviously further, more definitive testing is needed...

Scheduling the ultrasound today.

On a side note A1 Savannahs is also quite concerned with Bijou's health.

And is actively engage with me currently.

So happy to hear that. You need as much support as you can get for Bijou. Hopefully the results for ultrasound gets done fast and you get the results so you can get Bijou back to health asap. Lots of good thoughts and prayers your way!

Bijou had the ultrasound completed today, here is what was found. Heart is enlarged, and larger than it should be. Heart is also not contracting or pumping blood at the levels it should be. They also took at look at the abdomen, and they found several lymph nodes that were enlarged. There thinking that it is lymphoma, it was severe enough to where they ended up doing a Biopsy and getting a sample to have sent off. I didn't authorize them to do that, however the vet said it was a big enough concern to do it while she was sedated. In addition they also took a look at the colon area to see what the mass was to see if that was a tumor/cancer. He was not able to confirm or deny with the ultrasound images. And they did not take a sample from that area. At this point a radiologist will be reviewing the images of the ultra sound. And we should have the results back on the biopsy by Monday.

I'm glad they took a biopsy, at least you will have some definitive answers come Monday.

Enlarged lymph nodes can also be indicative of inflammation, so hopefully that is what it is... Hoping for the best
