Well thinking I'd let y'all know that I'm still kicking! Things are going okay and I'm finally getting used to retirement. I've had a couple more surgerys since I was last on. April of 19 they removed some of the hardware that was giving me problems. Last August I finally got the knee replacement that I had been hollering about! Lol! I'm just finishing up rehab and I'm doing pretty good. I'm now walking 300 yards with no crunch or walking stick. Best part is only a slight limp. Problem now is that after this 4 year ordeal I'm left with no stamina! Turned 60 this month and I'm not sure how much I'll get back but I'll be getting after it for sure! Jax is doing great. Healthy and being his ornery self. Kinda funny,,,,last year we took in a rescue German shepherd. He's the best dog we've ever had! Best part is Jax absolutely loves him! It's funny as hell watching Jax rub all over and under Duke like he thinks he's a Shepherd too! Lol! Best part is that they both are very jealous of the other getting my attention. Since we got Duke Jax actually comes up to me and let's me pet him all over! Mainly just to make the dog jealous I think but it's really funny. He has nothing to do with me for years and bring in a dog and he's all over me! Go figure! He's holding steady at 28 long lanky pounds and is as gorgeous as ever! I hope this post finds all doing well and I'll try to check back in more often.

It's great to hear from you, but what ordeal you gone through! Glad to hear that you're finally on the road to recovery, and hope your stamina comes back in spades. Sounds like Jackson has a new best friend and it's great that he finally decided you're okay as well, silly kitty!!

Good news ambro. Your stamina will return with perseverance and patience which you probably have developed in abundance. Best of luck with your recovery and congrats on the pooch. I'm happy that he and Jax get along.

The very best of luck in your recovery ambro, one day at a time as they say. Nice to hear that Jax and your shepherd getting along so good together. I grew up with German shepherds ( beautiful intelligent creatures)

Hi all! Don't know how many of my old friends are still on here as it's been quite a spell since I've posted. Jax is doing great! Very healthy and ornery. Wavering between 29 and 30 long lanky pounds! As far as myself,,,,I'm still struggling. The knee replacement went really well. The rehab got me back to where I wasn't using anything to help me walk. That was until the end of June that is. That day I suffered a major heart attack. My widow maker artery was 100 percent blocked! The told me I was extremely lucky to have survived it! I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get my stamina back,,,,well,,,. That damn wreck was still trying to kill me. My blockage was from blood clots from all the surgerys! I did suffer some damage but they said that if I work hard it would heal. Did great for 30 days and then caught another low blow as Rhonda and I both got covid! I've never been so sick. Rhonda spent 22 days in ICU and I should have but they only had one bed available and I told them to give it to her. I toughed it out at home. Finally licked it after 3 weeks. Cardio Dr said he's surprised that I survived it! The good news is that after finishing my Cardio therapy I got complete heart function back! 0 heart damage although I have a stint. I hope this finds all well and Jax says hi all!

Wow, sounds like you've had one hell of a year. I'm thankful you had great doctors, and strong determination to get you through. I'm sure the fur babies provided a lot of love and support as well.

OH my! What a lot you've been through (and Rhonda)... I am glad you have survived all that and I hope that 2022 is a much better year!

Thanks girls,,,,I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't getting tired of the struggle. It's been 5 and a half years of a pretty steady diet of crap! I can't help but think that things have to get better. We've move into a smaller home that has everything on one level. It's a lot easier for me. Jax settled in pretty fast and he's already back to his weirdo self. Lol

So glad you are tough enuf to beat all the crap thrown at you. Both of you. I had a bout with covid a couple of weeks ago, but it was not a big deal. I think maybe the vaccines I had helped. I think it was omicron. lost taste and smell for a few days, but all is better now.
My 3 furkids are all doing well. Kilifi has asthma, but it is under control with meds.
I have been retired for about 4 years now and loving it.
Maybe I can get on here more often. It has been a while.
