Just the first day ...

So as much as I'm trying to train him, I think he is trying to train me. He keeps telling me its my job to keep him completely entertained. And while I would like to accomodate him all the time. I just cant. The other ways he is trying to train me is when he wants to be petted, and that I can accomadate any time I'm around. Though I must admit being woken up by a head butt can be shocking the first time.

Zeus has been home for about 24 hrs, and last time he did his business that I know of was yesterday in his crate when I was bringing him home. He has eaten with a vengance when he late yesterday and this morning. He was growling / meowing at his food as if he expected it to walk away and saying don't you dare (I was accross the room so I don't think he was saying for me to stay back). He didn't eat alot, but he ate about the portion the breeder said he would. When should I start being concerned he maybe leaving little surprises for me instead of him using his box? All he has done in his box so far is play LOL

BTW ... there is nothing cuter than the "sideways hop attacks" that I saw this morning !!! It is my goal to try to get him to do that again when I have my camera out !!!

I would give him some time to acclimate and settle in. Once he eats a bit more and drinks, he will use the litter box.

Congrats! My boy sure is a talker also lol, you get quite used to it. Zeus sounds like a wonderful boy! Don't you just love those head butts?!?!?

My boy didnt poop in his box for a couple days after we brought him home, but now all is well. I think they get that 'travelers stress' that people sometimes do too! After a month I'm starting to get headbutts and what I always hope are going to be little kisses are little love BITES . Hopefully we can curb that before he gets his big boy teeth!
