this is a good idea, but not easy to separate a queen from her babies, and she might be even more stressed. I hope I take the good decision at the good time.

maybe try to separate them when I am not there (I am looking for work, so I have free time and I don't leave for long).
But I was there and didn't hear anything unusual... big decision to take...

yes, I am sure mama cat won't be happy, so it is a balance then between what she wants and the damage being done to their ears... I have seen some much worse cases than my Nadiya's ears from this overgrooming :-(

:( they are so young, it's not an ideal situation.
Marguerite can go where ever she wants usually, and can scratch a door untill it rips in pieces to get out of a room. I am in a familial environment, so it's not easy to manage. No cats can see her babies, but she can go see the other girls and kittens the other side.

i tried to make some colars for them, not easy to do the good fit. When they stretch the nec, it's useless.
put pictures later. Will try to make a better fit, so they have no problems to drink also.

home made... i used a PVC plastic box, I opened it flat and just cut the shapes from a cardboard gabarit I made. I didn't want to make them big and wide, I hope it's enough to stop her. I don't think it exist this small.

Mom doesn't seem to bite the top of the ears, so far so good :) probably the kittens push back the head in the collar if mom tries to bite on the ears. If they stretch the neck, the ears are out, but mom cannot chew the base anymore.
