He is really pretty! Still not quiet sure what "ocelli" is. Are they the different color markings? How old is yur Triton?
Thank you, Kimmyqitty! The ocelli are the markings at the back of the ears, which resemble eyes. I wonder if this is where the term, "Eyes at the back of your head" originated from! Triton will be 5 months old on the 23rd.

That's what I had originally thought, but with all the different pics of different colored and marked kitties, I became unsure. Just love hearing how young these kitties are and seeing how Big they are at such a young age :) I would TOTALLY think that's where the saying came from.

Ya know, I can see a whales tail and a bird in his markings in attachment 6896 :)
If he's sitting right (it was more pronounced in his younger photos) I can see a mermaid in his pattern too; which was a selling point for me, as I LOVE mermaids!!!! That's how we settled on his name. My husband, Coolcat, and I just love 7 Mile Beach, in Negril, Jamaica. I find it amazing that our SV has so many aquatic related patterns!

Hey Tod. Just had it explained to me :) ocelli are the white spots behind the ears. They are a trait from the Servals white lines on the back of their ears. They are to evade predators in the wild. If the Servals back is turn to a predator, the predator thinks the Serval is looking at them and they hesitate to attack.

That is so AWSOME! You all were so MFEO! Also, hope yur husband enjoyed his time here when he came to pic up yur Triton. My babies are right in my back yard! Allearzsavanah is where I'm getting my babies. But would have traveled round the world to get them. Working for the airlines we can fly free all over the world, and we have. But glad don't have to put the babies through all that. Buuuuut, we do plan on taking them on the plane to show them off to family, cause we can bring them inside the plane with us, before they get too big.
