You missed what I'm referring to. I am not speaking about the regulation of the animal. Please refer to the pamphlet regarding RABIES that I posted. I did not state they are illegal. I stated that if any hybrid (i.e. Savannah) bites someone in North Carolina that the rabies vaccine is not considered valid. I have attached the link that my vet gave to me to this thread above. The link does not state that they are illegal. I have a hybrid. Before my vet would even take us on as a client, she has me read the attached link and sign that I understood. Thanks.

It's not my point that I am trying to share. I am sharing information that my vet gave to me. I personally do not agree with it, but I did not write the law. My cat can be aggressive at times, and I was horrified to learn of this. However, regardless of the lack of education, this IS how the law reads. I shared this, not to get flamed for it, but to warn others to be very careful. As the current law reads, any "hybrid" (and yes, they use Savannah as the example) that bites someone .. there is no quarantine available, and that the animal should be euthanized. OK. I did not write this. I did not make it up. I have shared the link above. If you have an issue with it, please advise the authorities instead of me. I have an issue with it too. I was not happy about it either. But I am not the author. I am the messenger only.

A Vet in New Jersey euthanize a beautiful savanna that was scared and bitt the vet..
I change vets because they were scared to handle my F1.
You are very correct.
Sometimes it is better to take your savanna to vet that has experience with wild or exotics and actually know how to handle them when the animal is scared and aggressive.
