Litter-Robot Open Air Review

When I got mine, I put it next to another litter box. I then let the other litter box get nasty. I did not scoop or dump it for about a week. There are 5 cats currently here and these litter boxes are on a screened in patio.within a week, the three younger cats were all using it. The 2 older cats ( age 11 and 16) I am not sure which litter boxes they are using. I will have a better idea when the 16 yr old and 2 youngest go to their new home in 2 weeks. My daughter was so impressed that they bought 1 for the their new home.

I think Nadia just used it twice in the family room but she did not touch it when it was in her master bathroom.
There is still some hope. Less then 30 days left on the return policy.

I love mine - want another one...I have three altogether, but only one open air...they use the open air all the time - much more than the other two...so...time for another soon, I guess :)

Does the LR Open Air work good for elevator butt pee'ers? I currently have a Kat Kave and a rubbermaid box with a hole cut-out so it looks just like the Kat Kave. I do not have lids on either boxes. The boxes are 17-18" tall, but his head still reaches over the top since he likes to stand. He is also quite the digger and flings litter everywhere

(Even Atticus uses it which I wasn't sure was going to work. He's 38" inches long and has enough room to get in the globe and turn around.) ....sounds like the LR is pretty good size. It looks smaller on their website with the pictures they have.

I have one who is a mini-elevator butt pee'er. The urine hits the back of the globe just above the litter line and runs into the litter. During the cleaning cycle a bit of the litter will stick to that spot and I just wipe it away with a damp paper towel. Two of my cats always preferred to stand on their hind legs to and pee and I kept one rubbermaid box box for them but they don't use it, preferring the robot.

Perhaps I will eventually have to give one a try ... maybe a birthday present for Shango.

Right now I don't mind scooping since I'm home with him to scoop right away and I'm only scooping for 1.

I'm planning to get one for Abbas and Jasmine.
Abbas like to scratch on the left and top of the litter box.
Can he tear the rubber ?

Loki is a digger and has scratched at the rubber. But no tears or damage. It's a heavy gauge material.

We got our Litter Robot today! We are so excited.
Jasmine and Poppy are more excited about the amazing box it came in. Zeba not impressed.

So far, (3 hours) Jasmine likes to shred the charcoal filter. Poppy does like to watch it turn sometimes.

Help!
