I've been considering these but wasn't sure about reliability etc. Thanks for answering my concerns--now I can buy some for my cattery and save myself a bit of work--I have six litter boxes and I scoop them several times a day so it would be nice to get a reprieve.

I have been using this for about three years now with my DSHs. I've only had my Savannah baby for about a week and a half, so we'll see how he does with it after quarantine. My daughter has 2 very large (15 lb) DSHs that seem just fine with using the Litter Robot. Both she and I have one. I have the black and she has the gray. After scooping the cat box for years, it is great to only clean it out once or twice a week, depending on how many kitties are using it. Although they are not cheap to purchase, they are worth every penny. I highly recommend these litter boxes.

I bought one when I knew I was getting my 2 girls. Skye just loved starting it but never used it, and yes I did everything the instructions said to do to try to tempt them to use it ;). My first mel Savannah Midnight Sun never weighed enough to get it started and for those of you who know her story, she was too sick to climb into it. So by the time I knew I was going to adopt Azima Aurora, the mel girl in my picture the 3 month return period was long gone so I have it in storage in my basement.

You could probably get most of your money back by ebaying it. This is one of the best functioning automated boxes I've tried (and I've tried them all), guaranteed someone will buy it from you.
That's true but I am still hoping that one day it will get some use. They are after all, the coolest looking litter box ever ;)
