I'm SURE I'm going overboard here
Not at all, in fact I'm sure he'll instruct you on many areas of kitty proofing that you neglected to address once he arrives home ;) However, Odrick is a beautiful, precious baby and I'm SURE many things will be forgiven of him in his lifetime!!!

Thank you guys! I do think he looks so precious and I can't believe he's going to be mine. I've looked at his pictures no less than 50 times since I got the email yesterday morning

Kitten proofing the house is NO fun... but it does help pass the time.

Kitten proofing the house is cheaper than buying cat toys and trees.....that is the other way to help pass the time for kitten arrival! Congrats, he is a cutie.

Oh I have been doing that too! Hyendry harness & leash, Robofish, Stuffed animal, chew toys...I already have a nice Kitty Mansions cat tree in my bedroom as well as some climbing & lounging shelves in my living room. I almost went "cat-lady" crazy and was about to spend a ton of money at Catastrophic Creations getting all kinds of wall climbers & bridges but I was able to talk some sense into myself and put the credit card down.... For now. Gotta make sure I will be able to pay for the rest of my kitten when the time comes

Congratulations on the new kitten. I just got my new friend from Sue also!

Thank you! Beautiful kitten you have. When did you get it and who are the parents? Just curious if we are related.

I got him just under a month ago. He has completely settled in and is a perfect cat. His mom is Sassy and his brother is Spencer. I can’t find the info on who his dad is though.

Well, as to Elsa....she's an anomaly. There are a few others who claim their SVs are well-behaved but I firmly believe these people were duped and sold domestic shorthairs disguised as SVs.
{Shaking my head....} Witchy, Witchy, Witchy....
I have personally met Elsa. She even spent a couple of hours in my house recently. She is a very well behaved Savannah, and I guarantee that a DSH was not slipped in. It was very obvious Elsa is realted to the late Rascal and Mayhem. She looked very similar and acted with great poise.
You have speculated that the late Rascal and his brother Mayhem are evidence as to innate terrorist qualities. Yet, my cats are very well behaved.
I will admit I am currently concerned about R2 (Rascal Two is his official name!). He has this overwhelming joy of life he exhibits non stop. It is the emerging high intelligence, much more so than the rest of these spotted wonders around this house (4 total), that is giving me pause. And yet, I will leave it to John Campbell, who I will admit will never believe a Savannah is anything but an angel, to attest to the good behavior of my cats, as he has met all of them.
John Popp, who has some spotted lively cats which I believe are related to (Br)Atticus, might agree to a small extent to your assertions, to whit his recent posting of his wife's frustration with their antics. Perhaps she was having a bad day.....
Snakebite (above) seems to appreciate the recent addition and good behavior.
Witchy, everybody on these threads know you love your dear Savannahs, and wouldn't want it any other way!
Abby, your cat will be just fine. Witchy just likes to use her cats as an excuse to renovate her house.
(I swear, Witchy is writing a fiction novel for later publishing, which I admit will make a great cat story book!)
