Measure you cats!

So Trish, my biggest question about Abu, does he have a big motor (have a purr like a V6) and like to use it alot? I know that F2's are a bit more "wild" if you will and may not be the cuddlers that lower generations are, but I'm hoping that Abu still likes attention and says ty by rumbling appreciatively ;)

Tyvm for the suggestion, I will work on it, that and teaching him how to fetch. Wearing out my cats shouldn't be such a workout for me ;), so if i can teach them to fetch well that would be perfect :)

For me- he hasn't been a huge purrer, BUT that can change when he gets home. Trust me- they seem to really latch onto their new owners and adore them! He does like to sleep with me though :)

you know what I wanted most a BLACK nose! That serval black nose and I got it lol ;)! Of course, healthy and social and get along well with the others and he does that fabulously! After spending sometime with an f-1 I have to say I really would like a tall cat, but then I would really need them to fit in here. So, How do you go from there?! LOL

Rob, the lower generations are not really cuddlers...it all depends on the cat IMO...they aren't wild, just different ;)

Keeba is a f-3 and a HUGE cuddler on my lap, so I just think it depend on the cat. my black dsh is not a cuddler at all.

For my own curiousity, I would like to track my cats length, height and weight as they grow. Personality is the most important trait to me, but I will be honest, I hope both my boys will be monsters, but if they are not, their exotic looks, intelligence, and they way they make me laugh are more than enough for me :drink:.

Ok, so my question is, what is the best way to weight your cat. I'm not sure that stepping on my scale without and then with my cats is the most accurate method, though it is probably the easiest. Is there a fairly inexpensive scale available that can be used to weight both kittens and adults?
I would think a baby scale, or order a vet scale, they can be found online. I really have no idea whatsoever what my cats weigh. I only know if they go to the vet for some reason and have to be weighed.

My F2 Juba wasn't a lap cat until he turned 1.5 yrs. then all of a sudden it was like a switch was thrown. Prior to that, he loved to be petted but not held. No more -- now he's always schmoozing for lap space and serious cuddling. My F6 was a major cuddler as a kitten, gave it up until he was 2 and then rediscovered the pleasure of the cuddle. He is also a major head butter -- my epitaph will read "Head butted to death".
