Just backing up a second, nothing at all wrong with the Tasin TS-108. It is by far the most popular grinder out there for making raw pet food. It has good value, will perform fine as long as you avoid putting parts in the dishwasher and lots of happy customers out there. There certainly is better stuff out there, just need to figure out what quantities of food you're making.

Wow! See this why I treasure this forum! It would of taken me hours to research to gather info.

I have a Cabelas brand grinder. I love it. I bought the extended warranty, used the warranty one time, and discovered all I needed to do was push the reset button!

Paige and John, I also purchased the #22 after reading the threads on grinders. I am now making 50 lbs batches for myself and two other cat owners. Thanks for all the good advise.

Glad to hear the Weston #22 worked out for you. That's what I would like to get when the dust settles. I imagine it rolls pretty much right through things in the same manner as it's big brother and I definitely won't miss lugging that thing around.

Also, I can't recall ever hearing anything bad about the commercial grade grinders from Cabelas.

Bruce, that is awesome! I have the Weston #32 - overkill...had to buy a heavy cart to hold it, since I cannot lift it..but at least I can roll it around now

Well, the #22 comes in at 79 lbs. So I only move it up and down from its shelf. It's a smaller beast, but still a beast. In my dream kitchen it would have its own pull-up shelf and that project is still a few years out.

Weston #32 weighs 78lbs and the Weston #22 weighs 60lbs.

A quick check on Google, says that the #32 is also 79 lbs. I am guessing the only difference is the additional HP.
