Mounting issues

You have some beautiful babies! You might want to consider putting bitter apple, or similar substance on the back of Loki's neck to see if it deters Thor at all - just make sure any wounds from previous encounters have healed because it can sting if put on open sores.

I'm wondering if a thicker type of collar on Loki might protect more against Thor? Hate him to have scabs there if there is a way to defend that area...

lol collar on Loki! It's a great idea and one we have tried but our babies, minus the fat lazy one, do not enjoy collars or harnesses. They only tolerate it when they know they are going outside. There hasn't been a collar yet that loki hasn't been able to get his tiny head out of. I think if we did it more they would come around. I'll try finding a better one when I get home and give that a shot.

As for the multi-pet feliway I looked online at their website and it says all their feliway diffusers are multi-pet. Even the one I got on Amazon had it listed, unless I am missing something.

Thats a great idea Patti! Once he is healed up I'll have my wife try that. We have some left over bitter apple from when Loki would chew on things, which he still does. He actually could care less if we put that on something. He'd either shrug it off and keep chewing like a baby eating lemon or come back later!

Thanks for the compliments! They are a cute pain in the ass!

I liked at Petco's website and it has been updated since I was looking at them. There are 2 Feliway Diffusers listed. One just says Feliway Diffuser and is more for inappropriate marking or scratching. Or acclimating to a new home. The one that says Feliway MultiPet is to help cats in a multiple cat household get along better. Good luck!!

I know what you are talking about Dumalove. I recently bought a few feliway diffusers to help my himy acclimate to the new kittens. I went to Petco but the only multi cat one they had was torn open so I looked in other pet stores and on line and only found the marking and scratching one. I compared the two and they are the same so maybe they are changing the packaging? In the small print the marking and scratching one mentions anxiety and stress. After a few weeks my himy has calmed a bit and has gotten even more playful, yay feliway! Well either the feliway or she is trying to say "See, I am cute and playful... you can get rid of those kittens now."

Funny enough, my old foster kid named Thor has the same issue, but his is just that he's an idiot and ignorant. He was neutered when he was a kitten too, but he didn't have kittens to play with since he was a singleton and bottle fed

Just wanted to give a little update. From what my wife has told me, after plugging in the feliway Thor has stopped attempting to mount Loki and has become much more cuddlier. Spazzy on the other hand still tries to attack him, but he is just a dick. We have the feliway in the bedroom where most of the mounting issues occur and now I am thinking about putting another one in the front room, which is on the other side of the house and is Spazzys territory. Hopefully it stays this way! Thanks for the help!
