My Savannah needs a buddy

I had a Maine Coon, he was our first purebred kitty. He was wonderful, just a great big, cuddly mound of fur. He needed daily brushing, shed all over creation, but he was so sweet. He let babies crawl all over him, nothing phased that cat.

Get a Bengal!-Tigger is the craziest funniest ( 7 month old) cat I have ever had the pleasure to live with; mind you I'm still waiting to experience Savannaism.

We chose a Pixie Bob as a companion. There are several breeders that have both (although ours did not!) and recommended the mix. A Pixie Bob is ridiculously laid back (think Garfield) but not a push over. The breeders I spoke to said that the PB tended to rule the roost no matter what size SV. Our SV worships our PB. They play vigorously at least twice per day - great for releasing SV energy and exercising the PB.

My recommendation is to pick a breed that is somewhat on the large size with a very patient personality.

Maybe I missed it, but why not another SV? Granted things can get a bit chaotic, sometimes more than a bit, but it is never boring!

I raised Maine Coons' for a few years and had a couple of litters of kittens. It was really awesome as they blended with the Savannahs wonderfully. They are quieter but still played with excuberance with the Savannahs and I had a litter of 5 F1 savannah kittens at the time. I loved them, I personally just could not deal with all of the hair. 1 MC though would really not be an issue if brushed on a daily basis. It left me with wonderful memories.

So.....I was looking to see if my brother or mom had a picture of our Maine Coon on their Facebook to show you guys. His name was Zeppelin, as in Led, my brother was 13 when we got him and was allowed to name him. Anyway, I stumbled upon this umm...creative shot. That is not my cat, and whoever he does belong to is lucky as he is awfully cute, but the picture! Wow. Ok, ok, I know, being judgmental like that is not becoming. I will stop.

Simba is a very good kitty but does get a little distructive. Plus the cost of getting another savannah.
