On my way to the vets office. Now the new urine sample is really red.

Also just read the Doxycycline darkens the urine so not quite so panicked.
Yes, it can.
Knock that anxiety meter down a couple of notches.
Humans and animals.... if they are eating, playing, and acting rather normal, it's usually not a big problem.;)

OK, back from the vet and Dooley has a bladder infection. Pretty much was suggested that it's the results of being on the Doxy for 3 weeks, taking care of the Bordetella but leaving the back door open for something else. They are also going to do a culture on the urine although things can be suppressed because of the antibiotics he was on. High white cell count in the urine, but a physical revealed an otherwise healthy bladder.

Orbifloxacin for 10 days and Metacam for 6 days. I guess that will be afternoon reading.

The cats medicine cabinet is starting to resemble that of a couple convalescing 90 year olds at the retirement home.

Oh, and this is exactly why I won't go to any type of automated litter box. This issue wasn't there two days ago and it got exponentially worse over night. This could have very easily been a dire emergency in a day or two.

Glad to hear you got a diagnosis.
Sending healing thoughts you way to both boys, and you and Trish a hug.
