We are at EMERG now getting X-rays taken.

She gets tap water, we have never had a problem with it but I will ask my mom about testing it. Poor Zeddie :( it's her birthday and she is spending it at the vet :(

*sigh* zeddie won't take X-rays without sedation so I think I am just going to get her some sub qs and they have an antacid kind of medication that goes under the skin. Hopefully that will tide her over until tomorrow

Well...Zeddie had some hallucinations from the opiate based drug they gave her. SO....we decided to forgo the medication and just work on hydrating her for now. I am using pedialyte and a dropper. She gets a full dropper every 10 minutes, and she has been responding to that very well. We have been doing this for about an hour, and will go for another hour before giving it a rest. Then I will switch to regular water and will probably mix it with some natural colic reliever to help with the cramping. Tomorrow I will get her in first thing for some Xrays

Buprenorphine. The side effects are lethargy, but she was lethargic and panicked. She wasn't pacing or running around because she couldn't, but her eyes were huge, and I could feel the anxiety just rolling off her, to the point that I was panicking as well.

Wow, that's a very common medication used with cats, including Savannahs, so sorry she had an adverse reaction to it! Poor Zeddie

:(

I think Zeddie might be a little extra sensitive in general. Food, chemicals, drugs...

The good news is the pedialyte has picked her up and rehydrated her quite a bit. She has also been able to keep it down *knock on wood*

Yes, I think you are right about her being extra sensitive to things... glad to hear that the pedialyte is helping.
