Olivher is beautiful! She reminds me of the Gouldians I used to have, they were very colorful as well.

Thanks...she is beginning to hate me because I am the only one that medicates her, but a grape after seems to put her in a better mood lol.

Blah. Zeddie's vomiting has become more manageable, but this morning she vomited up last night's bedtime snack, and she wouldn't eat breakfast. She then wandered around the house vomiting up bile and the little chunks of food that was left in her stomach.

Her energy is back to normal after she spent some time hiding. I bought some ginger root and it is steeping in water and cooling. I will give her some to help settle her stomach, but this never ending saga of vomit is driving us both more than a little batty. She won't eat her lunch (not that I blame her)

How long can I safely fast her/can she fast herself?

She took a nasty fall on Wednesday morning, resulting in a sore leg so I have been giving her some natural painkillers. Maybe that is making her stomach upset? I don't know I feel for the poor girl.

And yes... Whatever you are giving her may be making her sick

Bring to vet if she keeps vomiting

She was there on Wednesday. He said it was promising that I was able to control it a bit better through diet. The only thing we haven't done is a biopsy, which he said wasn't worth it at this point.

I forgot to mention that bit lol. Fortunately I can ask the vets for advice whenever I am working. I panicked on Wednesday because she looked like she was dying, so she was looked at for her leg and for the vomiting again. Poor Zeddie :(

Sorry I can't remember, have you had a barium swallow done on Zeddie to look for blockage or partial blockage? I remember hearing of a case where a cat had issues with vomiting for years - owner had her checked by the vet multiple times, they could never find anything wrong and even recommended euthanization at one point. It was I believe over 10 years later that the cat vomited up a necklace that the owner had 'lost' those many years ago. Of course she never tied the missing necklace to her cat - and the cat has been completely healthy ever since.
