Zeddie is having a sleepover at the vets...they still have no idea what is going on. The blood work hasn't come back at all.

I asked about cleaning products as the mouse came out from under the sink, but he said it was highly unlikely that the mouse would be able to cause that much damage. But...Zeddie is so sensitive...

As for plants, we don't keep houseplants, although my mom's client brought her a bouquet of dyed flowers a few weeks ago. She can't remember what kind they were, and they are thrown out now. We never saw the cats chew on it, and there were no signs of chewing, but it is still a possibility.

As for food, they all eat different foods. Right before they got sick they all switched though. Tiger at Thor's, Thor ate Zeddie's, and Zeddie ate Tiger's. Thor is still right as rain...a little too right. All the dishes are washed right after use. Their water fountain gets cleaned semi-regularly, but could be done more often. Auggie (dogsitting pup) and Thor haven't been affected by it though.

Zeddie sleeps in my bed, Tiger sleeps wherever he finds a warm spot. Tiger isn't nearly as sick as Zeddie, but I am worried that he will get worse on the weekend.

Litter has been the same, it can be stress since I have been fighting with my dad since we got home from vacation...Zeddie goes out on leash, Tiger sneaks out sometimes. Zeddie hasn't eaten anything other than grass outside.

Thanks for the all the suggestions and help, I will make sure to mention more to the vet tomorrow when Tiger goes in for his appointment.

Our prayers are with you... and eating grass can cause some bad effects.... Especially if some other animal has done something less social in that area (if you get my drift... :poop::poop:)

The grass was up north, so I guess its possible that squirrels and stuff were around, but she mostly at the grass around our cabin. I don't know what Tiger has been into, he is a pain and opens the back door for himself

Kristin, you're probably not going to like this, but if Zeddie is that sensitive, then maybe you should consider limiting her contact with other animals. And especially letting her share food & water dishes. That means maybe curtailing foster care and pet sitting until all other possibilities are eliminated. You have to consider that this may be her reaction to an over-stimulating environment.

That might explain why the symptoms disappeared when you were on vacation and started again upon returning home....

What was going on when she first got sick? Any changes in the animal/bird situation?

I keep thinking that it is environmental but this might also explain it.

How scary and frustrating for you and Zeddie, now Tiger too! I certainly hope you get to the bottom of what's going on!

Zeddie doesn't share any food dishes at all, but we do have one fountain for both cats. Thor is pretty much contained as far as food/water goes (other than that one time everyone swapped)

Thor is almost ready to leave us, and I really don't foster often. This is the first kitten I've taken in, and the last dog that actually stayed with me was 3 years ago. As far as dogsitting goes, that has been knocked down a lot too. Auggie comes once in awhile for a few weeks and leaves. He has access to their water though.

I absolutely think this can be from the environment, and I am looking at houses, but I need money to move, and it will take time.

Tiger is admitted into the vet now as well. They think it is the raw causing all the problems, something I have a hard time believing. 1) Zeddie was improving on raw. I increased the amount she ate, and her vomiting almost vanished. It went from twice a week to once every 2 weeks. 2) Tiger would have gotten sick a long time ago 3) I have been putting water in Zeddie's food, which means she rarely drinks out of the fountain.

They are doing a fecal sample to look for bacteria and such, but it takes forever to come back. They are both getting metronidazole and cerenia. After Zeddie is stable, I am going to take her holistic for a second opinion.

Honey, I am so concerned for your kids. It has to be something they picked up from one another. Maybe a virus from something outside on vacation got Zeddie and she gave it to Tiger. Glad Thor is ok. With you Kristin in spirit and prayer.
