Patti,
I have a feeding question. He has access to kibble all day and get wet food once
a day. Should I change that or is that OK?

There are a lot of people who discourage kibble, and discourage free feeding, but I actually do both in my household. As long as you are using a high quality kibble he should be fine.

I have him almost switched over to a high grade kibble. Bella has always been a free feeder as far as the kibble goes.
The boys we had to watch do to them both cleaning up all the food. So hopeful we don't have any food issues. But if
we do than I know how to work around it. I want to get him over to more wet than dry or raw.

One thing I want to be sure of is having him on a well rounder diet and not stuck on one food or type.
Bella won't eat anything that comes out of a can for some reason and I want Xander so that he will eat
any form so that if there is a issue I can feed something else and have him eat it.

I'd give him wet food twice a day, especially if you're wanting him to eat more wet than dry on a regular basis.

Funny about the canned, since we started raw Ninja will only eat canned when we're on vacation. I've tried at home, he just gives me a look and goes to stand in front of the kibble cabinet (which we keep locked LOL).

One of the boys that passed away know he was not to eat the kibble IN Bella's bowl.
So what did he do? He would scoop out a paw full and drop it on the floor. Then it was
not IN the bowl. He was a little too smart at times.

I'll start splitting the wet and give twice a day and see how that works. I think the boys also got fed twice a day.

I will see how much he wants and go from there.
I think he will eat all of a 1/3 portion of the small can and
if he wants the 2nd 1/3 at night I will let him have that.
