The Ssscat works well most of the time but be sure to anchor it down because otherwise he will learn to sneak up behind it and knock it over, then keep going onto your equipment. Just remember that the cans run out so make sure you purchase replacement cans.

Oh - and don't be surprised if they scare you more than they do the cat. No matter how often I would inadvertently set off the can I would nearly jump out of my skin every time!

Haha thanks for the advice Patti, now I'm prepared. I will Velcro them on top of the speakers and I think I will Velcro my entire apartment at the same time, As he grows sometimes his instinct kicks in and he just run, jump like Usan Bolt and pouce at everything like a little Serval (He's getting very scary good at pouncing). It's very fun to watch... but less fun to clean the mess after haha And if you hear it, it litteraly sounds like a horse, definitely not like a 4 month old kitten. That's why we love these creatures I guess !

4 months is a tough stage... actually the next few months are going to test your patience as he works through the kitten version of the "Terrible Twos". (personally I find 3 year old children far more obnoxious but I digress) Everyone wants a kitten but in fact they are indeed little brats between 3 months and 8 months to a year. After that they seem to mature a bit, and even though still extremely active I find not quite so spastic. Good luck and let us know how the new set up goes!

Thanks Lori, I guess I'll have to be patient but you sums it, he goes from the nicest cutest sweetest little creature to a devilish destruction machine in a heartbeat lol
I'll definitely keep you posted I ordered everything today! Will post picture and reviews on how it worked with my little love monster

Here's my home studio Savannah proofed, wanted to share with you guys, thanks for all the advice.

photo-10.JPG

ScatMat installed on the keyboards surface and Contech StayAway sound + air automatic deterrent on the speakers he (used to) jump on, scratching it. (I Velcro'ed it to the surface so even if he tries to knock it down it won't fall)

Ayrad I'm really looking forward to your next attempt destroying my gears too see your reaction and I hope I'll have my video camera around !

Savannah cats need room and company , I hope you come to terms with your cat soon , the water may give your cat a attitude you won't like later on, apartment's are not good homes hybrid cats . Good Luck

I'm in amazing terms with my cat, I spent 20 hours + a day with him I mostly work from home so company isn't a problem and I was asking a question regarding a situation even home owners face, keeping a cat off an area.

My cat is very happy with me in my apartment and thanks to the great advices of the amazing people on this forum I've found the solution to that problem.
