Hi everyone
I understand your frustration and believe me we have had much more here. I assure you this is a real project and no I have not moved to Tahiti as some of you have wondered. It is unfortunate that one of the pieces of our assembly came warped thus making the wheel extremely difficult to put together. Currently we have the replacement parts in a 20' container being shipped to us. The container containing these pieces is on a container boat. The boats name is CSCL WINTER and it can be tracked on this website: http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/de...mmsi:477117400/imo:9645877/vessel:CSCL_WINTER
The boat will be track-able until around the 10th of this month, and then it will be out of range until the 19th of this month. On the 19th it will be on the California coast. It will be in the Port of Los Angeles on the 20th of this month. It will most likely be sitting in the Port of Los Angeles for about 10 days. Currently the dock workers at the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach are negotiating new labor contracts and are moving at about half speed. additionally the dock workers are saying they do not have enough trailers to unload all the containers and this is an additional bottleneck. When we do receive the container around New Years day we will unload the new parts from the container and will be immediately placing these new parts in the Cat Wheels we have in our warehouse, for us to get all these orders out it will take some time. We will be doing visual inspections on all the parts in the assembly we will also be doing some fine tuning of the assembled Wheel parts. This is going to take time to assure each wheel is great. We plan on beginning shipments of the Wheels during the first week of January.
Please have patience it will be worth the wait and we hope that the few of you who have continuously battered and beat us up about our delays will become our most vocal champions once you receive your Wheels and your loved ones are using the Wheel and getting the exercise they deserve.

Well, I'm glad they are getting this wrapped up and hopefully people will be getting their product soon. They have done a less than admirable job communicating to people and given the scale of this endeavor quality assurance should have been addressed overseas. These types of delays often increase customers expectations of the product, and hopefully they can exceed them.
Anyway, still holding tight here and really haven't had much of an opportunity to think about it. Definitely glad Chris provides the updates and hope the product turns out to be successful.

The fault usually lies in the stateside people procuring the goods. There are several independent parties that can do quality assurance in China, as well as intermediaries stateside that can deal with the warranty portion of the goods. Of course those things cost money and dilute profits.
In fairness this thing got way bigger than Sean Farley ever expected. He was seeking $10k start up money and got over $300k. If he would have only got the $10k we would be beating these things together with a rubber mallet instead of waiting for retooled parts. In that sense, he did the right thing and probably kept the door shut on a competitor swooping in.

The competition is pretty slim as all the competitors have to deal with the volumetric weight of their product and the expense of getting it to the customer. That the one fast cat wheel is modular, cost effectively and easily shipped expands the market for the product tenfold. Capturing just a quarter percent of the prospective market is 100,000 units and that's the kind of volume that brings the price under a hundred bucks.
Shipping has always been the biggest detriment to get the cat wheels to market, and this product has a major leg up as long as they're timely and deliver a level of quality that meets the markets expectations.

Once the ship docks and the container is off-loaded, we will schedule a truck to deliver the container to our warehouse.
