Opinions on Leto's planned diet.

Ewww... Leto seems to be loving the Venison and Turkey as well. I'm going to rotate through a few so he doesn't become bored with one. :)

I have some Wildtrax supplement on order. Was a little concerned it has calcium in it and the BRB has bone in it. May switch to the Mizuri for 'with bone' mix.

He gobbled up 5oz this morning for breakfast than shot of to play like he was on jet fuel!

On the no touchy thing, have you tried hand feeding him? Withhold food for an extra hour or so prior to regular feeding time, put a bit of food in your palm and sit on the floor and wait til he comes to eat the food. Do this for a day or two without attempting to touch him. Then, when he's eating from your hand, "accidentally" crook one of your fingers and give a gentle touch under the chin or to the side of the face.

Same thing works with play if you can get him playing around your legs. Run the wand of a feather toy over his back for a day or two then "accidentally" run your hand over his back when he's fully engaged with the toy. Both of these techniques may work better if he's put back in quarantine for a week or two but should work toward getting him used to being touch regardless of quarantining.

Good morning,

We've been getting in some pets during play times. He's becoming more adjusted to it, first was a jump away now we get a little stank eye look! LOL

He is a bit 'cautious' about hand feeding, when trying to feed some chicken jerky he'll try to grab it with his claw! But just switching him over to raw maybe he's still in 'protect my food' mode.

What a ham he is! LOL But as we play/pet more he's taking it better. Now up to a few before you get the stare! ;)

As for the foods, he's taking to it like a fish to water! This morning I think he was more interested in play time than eat time. So it'll be brunch instead of breakfast.

Ok.. I have to go mow the yard. He likes to walk to the windows and watch me! LOL

LOL! That's exactly what we were saying this morning. He gets foods, play, attention all for the cost of .. well looking DAMN CUTE! So we're going to play it cool for now, he can come looking for some play and attention instead of us showering it upon him! We have to remind ourselves yesterday was only 3 weeks here!

But in the end.. he has become the Duke of the house for sure! LOL Our favorite game is POUNCE the feather wand! And chase sheep toys daddy throws down the hall way! He's grabbed a few from the air!
