Prayers and good thoughts are needed

Very glad to hear things are smoothing out. I was SO HOPING you'd get one of those mythical easy first litters. Seems like no one gets those anymore! My first litter- the birth and everything went fine and then one of my kittens caught pneumonia at 3 weeks and almost died, fell in the toilet at 6 weeks and almost died (yeah- lesson learned about toilets there!)- I have NEVER felt the relief I did sending Spot off to his Momma. I told her- THERE, now he's YOUR trouble! LOL! But he's been good ever since!

I guess I had no idea how things can turn so quickly! I saw eight seemingly healthy kittens and although Zuri looked tired, I did not realize until the next day that something was seriously wrong...but it was within 24 hours, so she got help quickly! And here I thought everything went so smoothly and would be ok

Wow - Spot had quite a start! But glad to hear he made it through and is now good...so see, even at three weeks, nothing is guaranteed...I will worry about them all always, but I would just like to see them all grow up...all we can do is our best!

UPDATE - Going into Week 2 - Kittens are now ALL growing and thriving and opening their eyes...next week, I will post pics and try to figure out sexes. Zuri must be feeling much better - she has started running on her cat wheel for a few minutes as of yesterday. Thanks again for all your prayers...seems they must have worked :big grin: Let's hope everything stays on track...
