I would be careful with Blue Buffalo as well. There have been lots of health issues raised recently for dogs and cats related to Blue Buffalo foods.

The vet blamed it on the fillers in the Friskies, after analyzing the blood & urine...happily no other tests have been run. Yahoo for Trupnion Pet Insurance, Tigger ran up over $2,ooo in tests before they decided what caused it. In a house with 2 SVs & a Maine Coon baby we needed to be certain what happened. No symptoms in the other cats (or the dogs) & they all eat Blue & RAW...

Cat's can get urine crystals from anything....can't blame it on Friskies....my outside cats been eating it for 5 years and they are healthy so far!

I agree with Diane...Friskies has been around for a long, long time with no recalls that I know of, unlike many other brands...

No, Tiggers kidneys couldn't handle the fillers after just eating Blue, he is our adoptive Bengal baby from a double litter of 11 kittens rescued too late for all including the 2 moms, they all died but him, dehydrated, starving, pneumonia....after the rehydration therapy he had to be bottle fed.

I do see them with half eaten mice, moles, and chipmunks and it's gross also! But I guess that goes with outside cats! I can't watch them all the time.

Raw diet or Blue wilderness wet food, Orijen dry food.

Those are great foods, but my F3 won't eat raw food, I guess the other stuff has more flavor!

Tigger probably has an inability to tolerate fillers. Thor is the same way. Poor fella gets very sick if there is any corn products in his food
