Thanks for the update Sue!

Some texts with RD earlier suggested the bleeding had stopped, and Rascal greeted them with a fat tail. Very welcome news I'm sure and I'm glad to hear Rascal continues to improve.

Just catching up on this saga - I am praying that Rascal continues to improve, and that he has no further bleeding. Both peritonitis and pancreatitis can take a long time to heal, so hang in there!!

Unfortunately another setback. Bleeding somewhere. Pancreatitis confirmed by ultrasound. NG feedings are showing nutritional gains. But the damn bleeding can not be located.

Damn it. The bleeding is obviously a concern. Pancreatitis, while painful, is treatable and you can manage the pain. Can any tests show bleed locations or would they have to open him back up again?

I have been watching this post a few times a day waiting for good news, I am hoping the bleeding is slight and can be controlled with meds and no more operations , we have one of Rascal's kin, tough cat, get well Rascal!!!

Did an ultrasound, confirming pancreatitis. Could not locate any pockets of bleeding.

I just got the phone call that I did not want to get.the inflammation from the pancreatitis was uncontrollable. RIP Rascal. Hugs to Mike and Laura. I am too far away to do any more than post this for them. Poor Rascal. Everything possible was tried. This condition was congenital and he had 8 years.
