Is that a sv? It's not very long legged. Spots looks more like Bengal. I'm used to small head and tall long legged. Maybe it is a the cameras. ?

It's a Savannah... some get different traits than others but Gallagher is most definitely a Savannah.
Gallagher is Savannah and has good length to his legs. I do find that his kittens sometimes take time to sprout their legs so it's possible this is a trait with him as well, since these are pics when he was quite young. He is with me right now and producing some very nice kittens!

I Took My Savannahs To The Smokie Last Year And He Hiked With Me In The Mountains, But It Was Extremely Time Consuming. He stopped to look at everything.

I don't know that I would consider D my workout buddy.
I am not comfortably taking him running on the road, only the track.
He makes it about a half a mile.
He does not always want to run. He always wants to walk. We live in a neighborhood without sidewalks, so when I take him on walks if a car is coming I pick him up and hold him until the car passes. It takes time and we don't always get very far.
Just an aside- just because he is done does not mean he is tired. He has been known to come in, have his leash and harness taken off, and tear around the house. It just means he is tired of being outside.
All three of my boys will wear a harness and leash, but D is my only one who really begs to go outside. Our other two boys only want to go outside if Mike and me are outside first.

I read the YouTube comments by the cat's owners and they said they stopped walking the cat because of the risks associate with it. I would never put an animal at risk like that.

Over the years, there's been so many stories of people that said first that their cat did fine walking without the leash, but then subsequently the cat goes missing. It's all great until something irresistable catches their attention (eg rabbit) or a loud sound freaks them out, or they meet a dog off leash... and once they are running off you have no chance of catching them :-(
