This is what I have done to a small, rarely used 6' x 6.5' x 7.5 tall front porch...I enclosed the sides in pet proof screen, made a tree out of some limbs that had fallen during a storm, and other climbers; litter box and water and dry food bowls. There are vinyl roll up shades for really hot days. Over the years, I add and remove different trees and whatnot...all of the cats and especially kittens love it! I staple plastic (clear shower curtains) up for the winter months, and if it's not too cold, they will hang out there for a while :) There's also a bird feeder outside for the spoiled ones' enjoyment ;) I sometimes lock my grandkids out there....kidding!
Holy cow! That is a seriously luxurious kitty space. And those kittens clinging onto the screen is too cute for words! You made that Tree cat tree?? thats some talent!

Thanks! It was quite easy to make, really...and free! After leveling off the ends of the limbs, I screwed them from under the base, then added pine scrap shelves and wrapped sisal rope around the connecting pieces....:)

Do those kits have anything you can put over the top for rainy days? I have a nice sized back deck but there is no cover... but I could always put weather proof kinds of cushions out, and remove them for the winter :)

No cover, but it is not difficult to put one up...I will remove the cushions from the cat tree for winter...and I am putting down a weather proof flooring in a few days...

OK, I put down some tile flooring in the enclosure...got them for 52 cents each at Lowe's ;) I cannot affix them to the flooring on my deck, but they are heavy enough to just lay on the floor without moving...cooler for the cats and look cooler for me...
