Hi Patti. Dang, that's a huge price for the export. I didn't expect this but was also not considering this as of now, for reasons you already mentioned. Nevertheless the US has a lot more breeders for Savannahs and therefore more experiences they can share, and luckily that they actually share in this forum.
I didn't expect at the beginning that the variety of look etc can be so dramatically different between the generations. That doesn't make it any easier to find the right cat of course because if you have to potentially check out all available generations on the market you've a completely different number of cats, compared to focus on F3. But of course I understand why this is the case, with the breed being so young and breeders learning new things every day. I think that's part of the process every breed goes through. Benefit of this is of though, that there are more potential cats available that might fit what I'm looking for.
What I noticed between the US and (at least) Germany is, that in Germany most Savannahs go with silver color, while I have the impression that most kittens in the US are gold. Is this right for the US or did I just not see enough breeder pages in the US to see the variety of colors there?
