Savannah F3, F4 or later

Not sure where the 12% serval is coming from... There is no way to know that... And even at 8 weeks, it is almost impossible to tell how close to the standard a kitten will be... Usually at the 12 to 16 week mark, is where you can start to tell...

So usually the time when the kittens leave the breeder. Good to know. Thanks for this input.
She high percentage seems to come from high percentage F4 and F6 based on her page.
You can tell me if that's realistic, because I'm not so deep into the breeding theory to tell if that's right or possible.

Yah.. I don't know... They also say they have a fertile F3 male, which I have serious doubts about.. And a fertile F4 SBT male? I don't know... Unless I am reading their website incorrectly...

I though that the fertility with the newer breeded (no matter which generation) Savannahs is not a problem anymore? Is this not true? I read it on more than one source when I started reading about the cats.

That is not true... Don't know where you saw that... I believe there are a handful of F4c savannahs that are fertile, but they are few and far between... Fertility is very much a problem and most breeders don't even sell F5 SBTs for breeding...

I agree with Paige, 12 weeks is probably the youngest to be able to guess with any accuracy how a kitten will turn out, definitely easier at 16 weeks. As previously mentioned, you could ask for pics of older siblings (if there are any), that could give you a good idea of how this little girl might turn out.

As for the F4 SBT fertility, I've never heard of F4 fertility at the SBT level. I have a fertile F4C male - one of three in the world that I'm aware of. I tested his F4 SBT offspring for fertility and got nothing. That's not to say that it couldn't happen, just extremely unlikely.

The girl is reserved for me. I will check her out this Saturday. If I fall in love I've to leave without her, but make sure she'll be mine on May 31st. The Facebook "Savannah Cats" group is talking very positive about this breeder.
And she told me she has a background with A1 Savannah and so have all her Savannahs.
Sounds fine for me so far. I hope she's hiding the Serval and F1 before I arrive otherwise I will loose interest in the kitten I'm there for. :D

Dang, now I'm excited. This week will be long until I finally start the trip.
