He tries. The dog and I distract him and keep him busy. He actually knows what no means, but sometimes doesn't care. It's my leather office chair he's practically destroyed.

I've actually gone through several office chairs because my cats love using them as scratching posts. My most recent acquisition has been modified by covering it with a heavy fabric then a large bath sheet/towel. So far (only a few months old) it has survived the ravages of kitty claws...

Hobbes is not over weight he is just a big boy. Toby grew fast, he quit growing by 18 months. He's very tall but thin...Hobbes is tall and solid. They are half-brothers...same father and their mothers were sisters.

My F1 was 23lbs at his max, but that was a little, um... fluffy around the middle. His healthiest weight was 20-21lbs. (He passed at 10 years old, weighed between 19-23 before he got sick at 7 years of age.)

My little F3 is too young yet for this ;-)
