Savannah Weights

Just an idea to help with more accurate weights and what I did with Sylvester before he passed on. I used 2 digital scales that I got from Harbor Freight and currently on sale for 19.99. I use a short 6" wide plank to put across the scales, and then use the TARE feature to zero it out. I stood him on the scales, and add the numbers. You can weigh in pounds, ounces, or Grams. The scales I have are only good for 11 lbs or a total of 22, but for larger cats you can get larger scales and do it the same way... I found this to be extremely accurate. I also plan to use this for tracking my new kittens growth and plotting it all out...

Zeddie just walks on the scale lol...just weighed her today and she is 8.8 lbs!

F3 Male - 18 lbs (4 years)

I am amazed at the size of some of these spotted furballs. Your F3 male is probably above average. The more data John Popp gets, the better grip we can get on size to expect. I suspect that the majority of these weights are lean cats. Not often do you hear about overweight Savannahs.

My F4 cat Buziba is 7.5 pounds at 6 months old. Does anyone have a range of what the weight should be at 6 months? He does love his pinky mice breakfast every morning and he has a beautiful soft coat!

Mine aren't old enough to be official in the data collection, but am sharing just because it is interesting to me to just see the differences and similarities.

Nyah F2b female, 18 months, 13 pounds
Kovu F2b male, 7.5 months, 11 pounds

I am going to attempt to measure them, I haven't been successful as the either steal the measuring tape, or they scrunch down when I try a metal measuring tape or ruler. Kovu is taller than Nyah, he is still all legs and is very lean.
