Shiva is super cuddly... she loves to be near us at all times, constantly asks to be picked up :)

We have had our new 8yr old Tracy for two weeks and he is surely the most cuddly cat I have had! My boyfriend is really great with it. The only thing is that Tracy is also very talkative while being cuddly (generally most other times also). This often means waking at 2 or 4 in the morning. Any suggestions? Should we get more toys? More activity during the day?

We shut the bedroom door but were awoke in the middle of the night to scratching on the door and meowing.

Overall we are so lucky to have sweet Tracy to come home to! He is so fun and playful.

I havent had issues with our Shiva... mind you she's just months old.. she sleeps on our bed at night and doesn't wake us up (well...doesn't wake ME up.. but I'm a heavy sleeper lol) I am learning that Savannah ' s are very active. Shiva plays ALL the time... stimulation is huge... we have to tire her out lol

Tracy is sure a good looking guy. About the only way I have found to quiet mine is to tire them out. My 19 month old girl and 4 month old boy chase each other around and then collapse in bed with me. The kitten will wake me up at 3: 15 am washing my face, but I normally get up at 3:30am anyways. When the kitten wakes up the girl will complain.
My only thought is to tire him out just before bedtime, and let him sleep with you.

Great idea. Structured playtime has been happening in earlier evening and will work on that for later. Also he is adjusting to his new puppia collar and we will try to get him outside later in the week. I hope he is as excited as I am :)

I agree with Cary, try playing with her at least 20-30 minutes before bedtime, also feed her just before going to bed - tired with a full belly will usually result in longer sleep times...

You guys are organized. That is good. Cats in general need structured lives. Savannahs I think a little more so. You will do fine. How can you help with such a great looking kitty. :)
