I've got a question. Ya know how they say not to change your cats diet too much? That it upsets their system? Any kind of cat or dog. Well, my question is if I feed my Savannaha's mostly whole, ground, raw chicken, is it ok to give them other types of raw meat like fish, beef, deer or even solid white albacore tuna from the can from time to time?

Oh, and what about the grass thing? I have no grass, just a putting green in the back yard. Can or should I grind up some type of veggie in with the raw meat for that extra nutrition?

Understand. Any particular type of fish best? Like Ahi Tuna? Lots of protein! Of course just from time to time. And what about the canned tuna? My other cats would go crazy nuts for it, but it was only when I was making it for myself that I would give it to them.

Ok. Also, I'm sure Trish can let me know this, but I've heard that Savannah's need some kind of extra vitamins so suppliments added to their food, do I get this from vet or what? Or is the raw meat and bones enough? And again, what about the grass or greens?

The smaller the fish the better. The less chance of heavy metals absorption.

I do however use cooked salmon in my raw diet recipe as opposed to fish oil.

As for vitamins and supplements I use vitacost.com, for both the humans and cats in our house. I always buy human grade vitamins as I am not so keen on the law concerning pet specific products, just far too loose for my liking. Then for the greens, currently I don't do anything as cats aren't said to ingest much. Perhaps some undigested greens is the stomach, but on any sizable natural prey cats will hardly even touch any entrails or stomach.

I find when it is other raw meats then you don't seem to get that stomach upset. Not sure about canned tuna though, my cats are not that into fish so I haven't tried that.

Yes, actually pretty much all cats need extra supplements to a raw diet, unless you carefully manage the muscle meat versus organs to make sure that you have the correct balance, there are raw diets on the internet to refer to. Else, I use Mazuri supplements that come in two formulas, one for "slab meat" and one for "whole prey" . I also add extra Taurine especially when one of my girls is pregnant. Taurine is something they will just excrete if they don't need it, but is so important in many ways to them.
