Yes, that helps A LOT! Thank you! I am so mad at Darwin's right now.... they changed the ingredients without notifying me. Of course I'm all out of the old formula so I can't try to transition him and he won't eat the new formula. Cannot get them to answer the phone or return my emails either. Ugh I'm so incredibly frustrated. I have close to 50 lbs of 2017 turkey since I order extra to ensure I never run out especially with shipping delays in the winter. Guess that plan backfired.

Looks like they no longer use the psyllium husk powder or the sardine oil and instead now include fish oil, cod liver oil & tomato pomace.

It's been at least 6 months ago that I tried Rad Cat and I couldn't get him to eat any of them. I know I tried beef & venison... can't remember if the other was chicken or turkey I tried giving to him. He used to love Primal Rabbit Nuggets, but then refused to eat them. Maybe I'll try Rad Cat & Primal turkey to see if he will eat one of them.

Yikes!! Cod liver oil is NOT something I would feed my cats. Good to know they changed the recipe. Shame on them for not notifying return customers!!

I would try the Rad Cat Turkey and if he won't eat it maybe try adding sardines or some salmon oil??

I'm definitely disappointed in Darwin's, not to mention I now have about $300 worth of food that Shango won't eat. I know the "local" pet store (about 45 min away) where I buy freeze-dried Stella & Chewy's also sells frozen Rad Cat and Primal. They don't usually have turkey or rabbit in-stock, but they used to be great at special ordering the Primal Rabbit for me before Shango stopped eating it.

The freeze-dried S&C Duck Duck Goose comes out to about $32.43/lb so that's definitely not an option since Darwin's turkey was only $5.95/lb after shipping. It looks like the frozen S&C is significantly cheaper so maybe I'll have them special order some of it since they only keep freeze-dried in the store.

Snarl. I went thru the same damn thing with them in early 2015. I could not have been the only one yelling at them for the lack of notice. This is why I make my own today. You might want to try buying some turkey and grinding it up and seeing if you can use that to transition them......whether to new Darwin or an alternate food.

Just looking at the labels.....they changed the formula around April 2015 and the label supplied by DumaLove is different than that one. It appears that they are changing the formula annually?!

I agree Linda, that's why I make my own. So i can control EXACTLY what goes into it. Even then my brats, I mean cats, don't usually like a new batch. I cant imagine if it was totally different like Darwin apparently keeps doing!!

Sheesh (n) Since Shango wants nothing to do with the new formula, I think I'd rather just stay away from Darwin's completely. I'd hate to transition him to this new formula only to have the same problem next year.

The most frustrating part is I cannot get a hold of anyone via phone or email at Darwin's. Any other time I emailed to make changes to my order I received a response same day, usually within hours. Now that I'm asking them about changing the formula, I cannot even get a response.

I have a feeling that Darwin is being overwhelmed by loving phone calls from their regular customers now....?

I tried mixing S&C Duck Duck Goose about 50/50 with the Darwin's turkey and even sprinkled some dry on top, but Shango still wouldn't eat it. Since psyllium husk powder and sardine oil are the ingredients they removed, do you think it would be ok if I were to purchase some and mix into the food? I would love to be able to use up some of the Darwin's turkey I already have while transitioning him to a different brand... if I can get him to eat it.
