She's Not Naughty...

You know, I will sound insane for comparing a wallaby and a savannah, but that is what drew me to the breed..... I can't have a wallaby without a fenced yard, which I do not have now. However, wallabies are suuuuper naughty!!!!!! and they have little hands, so they will get into all kinds of mischief, including snatching up lots of things they shouldn't and taking off with them thru the house!!! They will nibble your houseplants, and jump on you when you are trying to sleep! Like a perpetual 2 year old.... They are extremely affectionate and bonded though, and give hugs with their little T-rex arms
So while one is predator and one is prey, both will keep you on your toes, laughing, and wondering what they will come up with next!

Most pet monks are pretty small and although very high maintenance, the worse they can do is nip your finger. Marmosets are about the size of Barbie dolls.

Issue with monks is they require a lot of work because they are intelligence little buggers

As far as wallabies- we had a Dama many years ago. We've looked into bringing a Bennett into the fold, but there are major pros and cons.

Really?? I had no idea they were so small, the ones in the news were much bigger and kinda scary :/
I guess those might be kinda cute super high maintenance though I expect!
The Damas are more skittish I heard, I had Bennetts myself, and my friends do as well, they are usually the favorite when it comes to a pet quality animal.... Of course they aren't for everyone, pros and cons to weigh that is true!

Nope, you've hit it on the head- Damas are a lot more skittish and more prone to white muscle disease. The Bennetts are calmer kids, but still can stress out easily. I think that's the biggest con about them.

And yep- most monks are little in the exotic pet world. Marms are cute for monks- I'm not a huge monkey fan, but I like marmosets

Yes indeed, they are prone to stress, especially if chased.... Their biggest drawback. Though early exposure to lots of places, noises and people helps! I always kept some Bose on hand in case of anything traumatic....

Well...... For the most part! They are trained to potty on puppy pads, and occasionally they might leave some small dry pellets like a rabbit, but if so it is easy to just throw them away...
