Well, seeing as Savannahs are a threat to wildlife and may kill deer and the neighbours Rottweiler we are only allowed F5s and later in Norway. Our Directorate of Nature and Wildlife are way out on this, and would like to ban all cats.
I suppose its because they are so ferocious our Savannahs like sleeping on furniture so much. Oh, and one of them caught a piece of chicken (grilled) just now. Off my plate...

More like a writer of tragedies when you see the way officialdom try to portray Savannahs as the greatest threat to nature since Chernobyl...

I believe they are totally banned in Australia, but then the Australians are in a very special position due to the marsupials being killed by humans, Dingoes (from Asian dogs let loose hundreds of years ago), feral pigs, feral cats etc. All these, except humans, are seen as a problem there and are regarded as pests.

Oh, yes they are banned in Australia, I just meant the way Savannahs are portrayed.

I don't know if this is or can be useful at some point, but we've all noticed that when we're talking about the "unique" characteristics of SVs, someone will say "oh my (fill in the blank) cat does/did that." So maybe we can turn that into something such as "What fetches, purrs, is super athletic and loves kids" and show all the recognized cat breeds that share those characteristics.

And within the breeder realm, start policing yourselves to remove descriptive language from your sites that lend credibility to the "wild" accusations....such as calling kittens "cubs" for example.

I like it Deborah...I can't remember which post it was of mine where someone said, Oh, my Maine Coon does that...so yes, that is a great idea!!!

As for the wild and cubs and other words on some breeder sites, I don't see that ending anytime soon
