Further update on Elsa..

Vet is very happy with her progress and says her vision he feels is back to 100%. This morning before going to the Vet she responded well to the laser, but at the vet she did not. Talked to the vet about this and he said that being up front with everyone that she was probably side tracked and right now she is doing great. Going to take the IV Port out this afternoon some time. Next update around 2:30... Earlier if things go bad, so I think it is well safe to say she is out of the woods now.

This picture is before going to the VET this morning... Can really see some improvements.

Fantastic news! I am so happy and relieved for both of you. What a gut twisting ride these past few days have been. But the worst is behind you and the best is ahead of you. Enjoy your girl, John. I'm quite sure the love and strong bond between you did more to aid in her recovery than anything else.

The Doctors Do NOT KNOW EVERYTHING! One thing I did not share, last night the Doctors said she was not going to make it and was going down here.... They recommended putting her down.... I told them "NO, I CAN'T DO THAT", and that I had friends that are Prayer Warriors and that she is going to come through it... To their surprise she walked this morning...

Again, she has a long way to go... A Big up hill battle, but she is a fighter and I know she can do it... Right now, she is vocal, and that I feel is a good sign...
John, you are absolutely right! In fact, my vet will always say just that to me...he cannot know everything. He makes his recommendations based on what he knows... but is delighted when a cat does better than expected. What my own doctoral studies showed me is that you simply do not think these people are "gods", they have failings and you can and should question their views.

I feel so terrible for you. I am sure you are beating yourself up about this and I know I would, even though I KNOW this is not your fault. You are a very conscientious pet owner and this is just terrible luck that had this happening to you. I agree, prayer can do amazing things. I know it helped my Zari. Hugs!

John, is there anything that you want to know that you do not understand? Many of us here understand this report very well...but...I think you should talk it over with your vet and ask any questions you need to ask...
Yes, feel that you have every right to ask the vet to explain everything...over and over if necessary until you are clear. Many feel they shouldn't bother the vet but you need to understand and it is their job to communicate to you.

I can't tell you how happy I am to see her up and about ...and to know her vision is fine must be a huge relief. I'm sure it will take BOTH of you a little to recover from though! These wonderful creatures sneak into our hearts!

I mostly agree with you that I had a large roll with her... But more so the thanks need to go above... Even at the Vet they have nick named her the "Miracle Kitty"... Believe me, I have sending a lot thanks to the powers above.

The Vet said when he came in this morning and saw Elsa that he could not believe the improvements that she showed over night...

Yes they do sneak into our heard, and they grab a hold of it hard... This morning before going to the Vet she darted under the couch... I am kind of thinking, ok.. Where are you hiding now, only to look and see she was taking a short cut to the couch where she lays when we watch TV... She did not want to go back to the Vet today and I think all of us feel the same way that we hate to go back to the doctor... I am really looking forward to having her helping me on the computer more. I think I am going to get her another kitty blanket to lay on and put it where she likes to lay... Or support her self on the Keyboard with her ELBOW:rolleyes::rolleyes:. I will certainly never complain about that again.

Your a terrific papa, you are her rock! Your touch.....your voice ! It all gives her support and security to know it's all going to be alright, she knows with you she is always safe! My kitty would like Elsa to have one of her favorite blankets. Maybe private message? When kitty had surgery she nestled into her security blankets. Would love to share one with Elsa. Prayers and more prayers to you both!
