Had a good 'lap' session with Stilgar this morning.. a brief moment of calm then he's been a tornado the rest of the morning! LOL More toys coming today from Hyendry toys today!! w00t!

... Congrats on getting such a nice Kitty... What series is he (so to speak, F1,2,3...)... After reading the thread I am so anxious to get my first.... The 2 weeks will be tough on me and Jake, but I understand it is for the betterment of the new kitten... But it will be killing me... For my pets in the past, it has always been an open door policy. It is Me, one dog and one cat and the policy has been that an interior door is never closed. Guess for a couple of weeks will have to do what we do in the aviation industry... Issue a TR (Temporary Revision) to the rules.

WOW... I am getting Jealous...
LOL! Yea, same here for our first SV Leto, no door was closed except a couple bathrooms. So he was a bit out of sorts when we closed off one of the rooms. His first reaction was not being very happy about it, greeted the door with hisses and attitude. Now after a week he is COMPLETELY absorbed with watching under the door for his little brother.
Stilgar is a F2B Silver and has become SUCH a lover! As mentioned... today's one week he's been here, well technically not till 11pm tonight.. but we'll count it as a week! The quarantine is tough, at first very much needed to allow these two to get to know each other under the door. And now to allow Stil to completely bond with us and still settle in a bit more. Though he does try his best to door dart out to the 'world'. He did make it out a couple feet the other day and it was poof tail for both Leto and Stilgar... Stil ran back into his room, Leto sprinted down the hall! Closed the door and they were both back to looking under the door at each other.
Today I held Stilgar and walked out to do a distance intro to Leto and it went VERY well. Leto's tail went up in a S and meowed. Stil was radar ear locked onto Leto squirming to get free!
So all in all a GREAT week with Stilgar, no issues besides a couple misses on the litter box for a tinkle. But that was stress the first couple nights, since then not a issue at all. And the brothers seem off to a great relationship!

Stilgar is an F2B kitten, John and was bred by us here at The Kasbah. His mother is Sadies Killa Killa of Kasbah and his father is our Melanistic boy, ThomKatz Snoop Dogg of Kasbah.

Killa Killa is a beauty... but I have to say Snoop Dogg makes some BEAUTIFULLY HANDSOME sons!
Saturday we did a bit of a intro with the boys while holding Stilgar cause he just wants to run and jump on his brother! Leto on the other hand isn't quite ready for the full on tackle and I think was telling his brother that. Leto gave a little hiss then proceeded to meow, grumble and 'talk' for a couple minutes while looking at Stilgar. Stil settled down and just watched very attentively! No poof tails nor ears back, I think Leto was just putting down some ground rules for the young one!
Yesterday we did the same, right at Stil's door with Leto in the hall... then we did a carry around the house tour while Leto gave Stil's quarantine room the sniff down! Sorry is some of this is duplicate of what I've said before.
When Stilgar came home Leto started with hissing and grumbling (not a growl but that throaty grumble meowing) whenever walking by Stil's door. After the 1st night we changed the quarantine room after realizing a larger room does not make a better room. And Leto would go back into the room, sniff and give a hiss and a grumble again. After a couple days the grumbling and hissing stopped, another day and he would be sitting at the door most of the day. He regularly puts his paws under the door and they've played with a couple toys together now... no so much sure it's planned or just works out that way! Now Leto will be there checking and looking under, if he's not by the door he will be soon as Stilgar makes any meows, SO FREAKIN CUTE! I think the brothers are already hitting it off and will be great friends! I sit Leto's dinner and lunches outside Stil's door to eat while Stil does on the other side and everyone gobbles up their foods!
Stilgar is a eating machine on raw! Between the two I think I'm calling 2014 year of MEAT!

All goes well with Stilgar! Eating like a champ and growing! Leto spends regular time at the door and the two converse and play. Stilgar has gotten a few home tours now and LOVES have room to stretch those legs! Leto in turn takes the opportunity to 'check out' the room he's been denied access to! We've done a few meetings between the two and Stil is busting at the seams to pounce his brother! Leto watches and talks and leans in for some sniffs, the hissing and hair raising is over and they look forward to the face to face time I think. Leto takes meals at the door regularly now as well... I've opened the door while the two chomp down dinner and everyone appears happy as can be.
All appears well for the brothers!! SO VERY EXCITED!!

Sounds like a happy story getting Happier Everyday... Just a devilish thought... Would be nice to see the 2 under the Christmas Tree on Christmas Morning....
