Your life is never dull with the boys, is it? I bet you wouldn't have it any other way...and neither would we ;)
Amen sister! But, I really could have done without the chewed hose and flooded floor. We've had the new washer and dryer for a month and he's never shown any interest in the hoses and then BAM!

On the bright side, I've been talking to Alan about installing vinyl plank flooring throughout the house primarily because of Atticus' love of water and today's incident may swing the vote in my favor.

Surely I can't be the only one whose cats are a tad naughty on a daily basis. Did I mention that Atticus and Juba were having a wrestling contest in the dryer right before the hose incident? They jumped in before I could get the clothes out and proceeded to cover the clean clothes with cat hair.

I'm really tired for some reason.....

No, the chewed hose would not have been a fun moment. Good thing you were there to notice it when it happened as I know it would have kept depositing water all over until you discovered it! I don't blame you for considering other flooring options.

I hate to brag, but our cats are pretty well-behaved. I refuse to allow it...just kidding. I can't think of a single instance where something was destroyed or damaged beyond a few knick-knacks I didn't like anyway. Granted, I don't have a growing and teenage F1 kitty here, but our cats...F3-F8...are pretty well behaved, all in all. Ironically it is my lowest generation cats...a 7 year old F7SBT and her 3 year old F8B daughter...that misbehave the most, and that involves Savannah-type drive-bys that almost knock me off my feet or a sudden leap into my lap accompanied with a quick and fierce head butt to the nose that makes me see stars...

Atticus chewed through the cold water intake hose. Found him having a great time playing with the spray of water shooting up from the hole which was a perfect fang size.
I feel for you - I came home from work one day to find the kitchen flooded and seeping through the wall into the living room - one of the kittens had gotten behind the refrigerator and chewed through the ice maker hose...

Sorry about that, but wasn't water line purrtection covered in Lorre's book???? I feel your pain, fur sure, but , glad my washer is locked in a closet, and have blocked off the fridge spaces from the beginning.

Well you know what "they" say, when it rains when it pours, or something like that.

Note to self, get steel piping to wrap water lines in Rufio's lair.... well off to ebay.

Spent the morning Atticus-proofing the laundry room and the afternoon having lunch and drinks with a friend. All-in-all, a balanced day.

That is good, I was talking to Noah, and he was ready to send the Ark your way at a moments notice.!! :big grin:

Good reminder to double check everything before the big little guy arrives. Glad things have calmed down to the standard Savannah level of crazy.!!!:roflmao:
