The perfect harness

I use Joykatz harnesses on mine. They are built to spec and fit perfectly.

What fabric do they use is it cotton? I like the breath ability but cotton tends to stay wet. and I have Been oogling over the joykatz harnesses they look well made durable and adorable of course. but wasn't sure if the Velcro would be that strong. I would feel better if there was a clasp over the Velcro like the jackets I have for my buns now. maybe I could just alter it myself I just hate spending the money on something to have to sew onto it. Wonder if maybe they could add a clasp for an additional charge

I wouldn't get the harness until the cat is in my home so I can do measurements properly. I know well fitting harnesses are important but with proper fit it should be more comfortable. And to keep them from finding their way out lol. That would not a fun

I have two in "windbreaker" type material that are my favorites, the rest are cotton (probably poly/cotton) but I've never had an issue with them getting wet (or staying wet), plus they're prettier. The velcro withstands Ragdoll fur, I don't find a problem with it, not sure what else to say, you can either go for it or not that's up to you, it works for me or I wouldn't have said anything.

I posted this once before....but this is to give you an idea of why a well fitting walking jacket is critical. My previous cats acted like I had tied an anvil to their backs. A savannah on the other hand can be pretty darn creative at being an escape artist!

I know this is typical but I started my boys day 1 on a little cheap kitten harness I found at Petco and never once had this problem. I wouldn't use the kitten harness for anything but training indoors, though.

hmm the windbreaker type material is what I have been looking for. The bunny walking vests are made from something similar and seems very secure. plus water rolls right off it. thank you for sharing. I appreciate the point in the right direction =]

Our walking jackets are all cotton with Velcro. The Velcro is a bit of a problem with the Pixie Bob as he has both a belly pooch and long shaggy belly fur. No issues with the Velcro and a SV.

Ours are from Mynwood in the UK (about $20). What is nice about the Mynwoods is that they are custom made to your measurements. Knowing that my kittens would grow, I told her current sizes and breed of cat and she made them a bit bigger. She also has breeder-packs that consist of 5 kitten-sized ones. Does anyone know of kitten-sized ones in the USA? Our first jacket was given to us by our PB breeder and it was called "City-kitty" but I was never able to find them. Our breeder had bought it at a cat show.

My advice would be to buy a kitten-sized one now knowing that you will need a cat-sized one within 3 or 4 months.

He's a big kitten at 4 months he's the size of an adult house cat. I'm not sure if he's going to grow more or not. It's a little confusing he is twice the size of his sister. I'm holding off and doing research until I have him so I can make measurements. I have a couple harnesses that should fit him for the time being I just wouldn't be comfortable taking on walks with the type harness I already have

I had heard of large kittens staying about the same size and small kittens could be huge that its hard to predict. But i didn't think he would get much bigger than where he is. I guess fate can always surprise me.
