Oh I thought I was being obsessive/compulsive about her but now I know I'm not. I already did a google search for Newark Airport as to where the cargo section is. And I pity the poor people who are in that area with me when I finally pick her up. But I know it will be worth it to be the parent of a Savannah. And Whiskey is the sweetest thing too. She's 2 years old, an F5C and I feel a bond already with her just seeing her picture.

Well I can't wait for her to get to you so you can love all over her! And no you aren't being obsessive at all... my first Savannah was a retired F3. It took me forever to save the money, and when she finally arrived and the attendant brought her out from the baggage claim office and handed her to me I just started crying. I'm sure they all thought I was a nut case, but it was a huge day for me and I was overwhelmed with emotion and happiness. I'm beyond tickled to know Whiskey will have such love. <3

Well I have a pink food and water dish waiting for her. And I need a new scratching post and toys for her to play with too. See, I think I'm going to do what you did when you saw your F3 at the airport because I'll be so happy to see her for the first time and I will be like you were...so overwhelmed with emotion. I think that Newark Airport should be put on high alert for a first time Savannah parent when I get her. And she will have alot of love showed to her.

The waiting is extremely tough! And getting ready, for me, felt like I was getting ready to bring home a brand new baby, making sure we had the right food and dishes and all the toys and accessories. I don't know when the excitement wears off though...two weeks and everytime I venture into a store I'm looking for something to bring home to her. She's spoiled rotten! LOL

Oh I feel like that too like I'm bringing home a new baby. I mean, I have no human children so my cats are my kids and I'm afraid that I'll want to put balloons on my apt door saying "it's a girl" and also have a Welcome Home balloon for her. She is my very first Savannah and it took me a year of researching, of wondering if they are really for me, of hearing stories from non-Savannah owners about them and of staying up until all hours on week-ends watching you tube videos of the Savannahs to get to this juncture where later tonight I will be putting my deposit on Whiskey and I am just so thrilled.

I just sent in my deposit for her. Unfortunately I have Word Starter which doesn't support digital signatures so I have to send the contract to Lori via snail mail but mark my word that will be in the mail first thing in the AM. So I really feel sorry for the poor people who are around me at Newark Airport when I finally get her.

Looks like i will be jetting sun or mon.Almost have tne seperation room ready,cleaned heater vent ducts- dusted cealing down-just have to wash walls and floor down.Thats just that room .....still have the rest of the house to go.

That is cute about what you're doing in cleaning the house for your new arrival. I probably will be doing the same thing along with going to Petsmart next Sat to get her a few new toys. Good luck!!!

I had a sugar glider and a rat in that room so i wanted it to have no old scents.Good luck to you too.
