trying to find loki's treat weakness

There are other freeze-dried tidbits to try as well. Jammu loves the freeze-dried shrimp (Rafiki does not). Both like the freeze-fried duck and chicken hearts. Mine like the freeze-dried stuff over anything else.

Perhaps if I try a different type of meat then. if I cook up steak is it horrible for him to have some? Ill admit I jut tested my theory with some leftover hamburger meat. He went nuts over the little nugget of moo. Seems to love cow now

I would love to begin training him little things like coming over when I call for him.
It was fairly easy to teach ours to sit. And my hubby taught Mosi to come to his whistle. It just kind of naturally happened. When he called his name and whistled it caught his attention, and we praised him for coming. now he comes when you whistle every time. I can't whistle , but at least he comes when I call his name too.

Eddies

Eddies a ham!
You're over thinking it:Geeky:, I said "Eddie" every time Eddie jumped up on the bed or came over to see me & now when I say his name he comes running 90% of the time. I say "No" :offended:when he bites or scratches, move away from him & he doesn't do it as often but also immediately stops now. For having been here 2 weeks I think he's doing great:cool:, as for treats...he doesn't eat any I've offered....except freezedried chicken! lol.

Did your breeder call him by his new name?

I can't really help much as Zeddie came home knowing her name thanks to my breeder. She adores freeze dried chicken though (not that she can have it at the moment :()

What about a toy? Call him by his name while playing with a toy, and praise him for coming?

Playing fetch is hard wired into some of these kittens. I did not teach Mayhem. He just knew. Many folks have cats who just started playing.
