trying to find loki's treat weakness

I guess the question is, how do you scramble your eggs? If you are adding butter or other nonstick ingredients, or anything else to the eggs I would hesitate to feed it to a cat. Raw egg yolks are an excellent food for cats. Raw egg whites are the opposite - they have a protein called aviden that interferes with the functioning of biotin, which is essential in the growth of cells and other vital processes. Apparently cooking egg whites negates this effect, but it also destroys some of the good nutrients in the yolk. If you want to feed cooked egg, the best way I'm told is hard boiled, shell and all (you can crack the shell all around the egg into small pieces to make it easier to ingest).

She'll and all? I never heard of that. they can handle the egg shell? I woulda thought it would be pretty sharp. If I made scrambled eggs I have a Teflon pan I can use so no butter or spray. I also have a regular iron skillet but I would have to use olive oil to coat the pan which I'm not sure if cats can have olive oil. Perhaps if I do a soft boiled egg that could be best? That way more nutrients is in the yolk and the whites would be cooked? Also I do scrambled egg whites so I don't mind just cooking up the yolks either although I can't seem to get all of the white off the yolk which is why I am afraid to feed raw.

I am aware of aviden which is why I had asked I wasn't sure if cooking negates it or not. Must they be on a raw met diet before hand? If I were to feed raw egg yolk?

The egg shell is a good source of calcium, but needs to be cracked/crushed into small pieces before feeding it I would think. He doesn't have to be on a raw diet before feeding raw egg yolk - many cats are on a blended diet - raw, canned, and kibble.

Today we tried shrimp and Adam broke it to me he snuck a bite of his bacon today during breakfast. My buddy is pure carnivore. seems to be less picky than I had thought. I'm trying to space out any treats like that especially with new meats so that if it doesn't sit well I can pin point it. Only a couple lil bites in a day. after my bad job at resisting the urge to feed him tiny bites of shrimp off my plate. He is enjoying a nice lil lap nap. My legs are falling asleep lol

Fondness for bacon is an understatement. Not uncommon to hide when trying to eat your own bacon. I'm serious about this.

I hide from my boyfriend when I eat bacon. now Ill need to barricade myself In the spare room when we have bacon haha. no one touches my bacon and gets away with it lol.

I think someone on here told me to do that =] just playing it cautious currently when I spoil him. And he was all cute and charming for an hour or so. Then when I realized it was 3am and I have work at 9am I needed to try and sleep.... He wouldn't let me sleep. lil stinker
