BTW-- I've dealt with intestinal blockages. Some animals may be able to drink due to a partial blockage so those symptoms are POSSIBLE, but not necessary. Regardless, hopefully, you see a turn around soon.

vomiting after dry food but not wet?

Alex...the forum is NOT meant to take the place of veterinary advice...you kitten needs to be taken to the vet...have you spoken to your vet at all, since the initial visit? If the kitten cannot keep food down, even boiled chicken, something is wrong!!!
One of my kittens was eating and playing but vomiting after eating...I brought him to the vet and he had about 4" from a wand toy, in his stomach...the fact that I got him in quickly and it was discovered, saved his life...
So...as Trish says...barium swallow and perhaps more xrays...I would not keep dilly dallying around with this food and that food...

FWIW, I went through this exact problem with Zeddie last year. She has been on raw since I've had her, but she is sensitive to various proteins and needed extra fibre in her diet. We did all the test that you did, and did an ultrasound as well, all of which came back 'empty'. Is it possible that Cyro has a sensitivity to chicken?
But here is the thing...we can try to diagnose all we want...and it could be this and it could be that...the problem is that things need to be ruled out first...I am starting to feel very uncomfortable with this thread...the kitten needs to go to the vet...even though he is 7 months old, kittens tend to go downhill very fast and I would hate to see anything happen that could have been prevented...

I wasn't in any way trying to diagnose...I understand how frustrating it can be when you have test results come back with nothing in the way of diagnosis. The vet I happened to go to didn't believe food could be a factor, when it was. A vet should always be consulted, but in the first post she did say she had Xrays and blood work done.
yes, I understand...and it may be something as simple as a food allergy...a barium swallow and ultrasound should be next...if all of that is normal, then move on to the less severe issues...

Good luck! I completely understand your frustration and know how heartbreaking it is. I hope you are able to get to the bottom of the issue soon, and that Cyro will be back to feeling 100%

I agree with Trish and Paige - there is definitely something wrong with this kitten that he continues to vomit after eating. You may think a barium swallow is expensive, but cats can die from undiagnosed intestinal blockages, is it really worth it to save a few bucks? BTW, if you are short on cash you can apply for CareCredit, which is like a credit card for pet health and veterinary expenses.
