So ... the vet is going to go ahead and do surgery. I'm scared for Cyro

Alex, what is the vet thinking is wrong? Why surgery? It will be ok...it is hard not to worry, but we are all here for you!

She thinks there might be an intestinal blockage somewhere, and since he's already lost so much weight, and isn't really keeping anything down anymore, she doesn't want to wait it out any longer.

My boy swallowed part of a toy and had no symptoms for months. He ate, used litter box, played and everything. When he starting vomiting X-rays finally showed it almost in his intestine and they were able to remove. It was a toy gone missing 3 months! He/ we are so lucky he's fine now! Still amazed how he didn't show symptoms...

Hoping they can find Cyros issue and fix him up quick!

So ...

A while back, Cyro had a wool cat toy, which he loved immensely and once it started getting ratty (in mid December), I threw it out before he could eat any of it ... or so I thought. This afternoon, the vet found one of the feet from it, which was about the size of a rounded dime, stuck inside his stomach. No wonder he wasn't feeling well!

P.S. it wasn't the duck foot

Yippee! Glad Cyro is on the path to recovery!

Always tough throwing away those tattered toys they are so fond of.
