Well may not sound like a leap to most of you but I gave him a catnip toy while he was lounging in his tree and he got rambunctious but I got 2 claws done...not 2 paws, 2 claws lol. Tomorrow is another day. Thanks for everyones help!!

Go nice and slow.
It took us 2 years for Jarvis to go along calmly with manicure time. For a while, it was one claw, every other day, plus treats. Now, he lays in my lap and we do all 4 paws in one go. Our little baby Rey, we are only up to 2 claws at a time (Mike holds her and I clip while she holds a toy), but we have only been working on it since November. We do nails every 2d day with baby Rey.

I tried the wrapping, he panicked and hes so strong. He can be dead asleep but he wakes up super fast and i am very gentle. I will try the scruffing again. I agree they do need them trimmed, hes going to hurt himself otherwise and thats my concern. He doesnt scratch or attempt to scratch, or does anything like that.
When you try to clip a nail when he is asleep, do you manage to get one nail at least trimmed before he's really awake? If so, persist...and eventually you will catch all of them, just remember where you last trimmed! And with time he will realize it didn't matter so much and maybe get easier with time.

I have a couple that are absolute pains, definitely I need someone else to help me each time!

I try when hes asleep, but he rarely allows it, its like he just knows. Ill try again today. Right now hes running around like a lunatic, so he should crash eventually. lol

Still say, the best two times fur nail trimming, is when they are drowsy and loving, or after they are panting on the floor after rigorous play time.

tucker them out, and they are much more relenting. Usually I get modest Savannahtude when trimming nails, but with enough patience and effort, it's usually a bloodless affair. :roflmao:

I always talk to them in a soothing, calming voice, acknowledging it's for our best good, and will resort to biting them on the neck to calm and dominate.

I do keep nail clippers in our bedroom, the Twins bedroom, and upstairs, so that when trimming time is due, I can usually take advantage of their disposition.

Yeah, that's right, I used to be a boy scout, a millennium or so ago, in a quadrant of space, now far, far, away. :) or something like that.:roflmao:
