Well, sounds like Nifty is very good for Chongo and probably Chongo really needed a buddy of the SV persuasion!

Not the greatest photo, but one taken yesterday evening.

Chongo seeing that there was a new set of batteries placed in the little one.

OK, the minx finally hunkered down ad decided on a name for the little one. A name would fall in and out of favor daily and sometimes every few hours. So I have to give thanks to Tort for the suggestion, and codename Nifty is now Monte.

So a little bit about Monte. He's super sweet, loves his big brother Chongo and starts purring loud enough that you can hear him across the room if he catches your gaze. He's super quick and despite having his share of wipe outs has displayed much more coordination than Chongo did at the same age. Not sure if that's a result of him not taking as many risks, but clearly Chongo was out of control in those regards.

At 3 months old Monte is just a hair shy of 7 lbs. Monte's proportions are a fair amount different than Chongo. His ears are larger, his legs are longer and his tail is shorter. In all, Monte's just a bigger boy than Chongo was standing a full inch and a half taller at the shoulder at the same age.

We couldn't be any happier with Monte and he was just what the Doctor ordered to scrub off some of Chongo's energy. Playtime doesn't require my attention every waking hour, less stuff is getting destroyed and Chongo's appetite has increased so I no longer worry about him eating enough. Perhaps one of the best things is now I occasionally even get to see Chongo sleeping when I'm home.

Oh and yes I know, more pictures to follow.

Sure thing, and thanks for making the suggestion. It came down to Duster or Monte, and after waffling on it a bit Monte won out.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Monte is a serious talker. He lets you know about everything. There's a bug outside, I don't know where Chongo is, I'm hungry, I'm using the litter box and yaps something that I think means "hold my beer I'm going to try something". Again, he's been simply wonderful and thanks to all on the name suggestions.
