Cipro is a good broadspectrum antibiotic, so hard to know which bacteria Creep and Crud are... but it ought to work nicely. Hopefully now that the antibiotic has been changed Dino can start to fight off those nasty bugs!

As SV Dad points out, common bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract...and I would guess that infection with them was a risk with the kind of surgery he had. Hope being on a more appropriate antibiotic will resolve the infection fast now!
Typical GI bacteria which doesn't normally cause an infection in the incision site if sterile technique is maintained throughout surgery... of course if there is any post-op messing with the incision this will leave him wide open for the development of an infection. I don't remember you mentioning that Dino was ever going for the incision, maybe he was getting to it on the sly?
